HISTORY AND VISION

SalonSpecial.com launched in early 2011 in the greater Dallas-Ft. Worth area, shortly after the launch of DESIRE Salon & Spa Hair Care products. Due to high demand for on-line access to these products, the initial site provided the basic framework for what will become a sophisticated, interactive site.

New markets will take us national—even international. Watch for the pending addition of participating salons in Denver, Atlanta, Miami, Toronto, Las Vegas, Washington DC, Greater DFW area and beyond.

Participating salons will provide tours and demonstrations on our video link. Our blog will provide a venue for beauty professionals and their clients to trade valuable information. SALONSPECIAL.COM FOUNDER

Gene Bezuneh is a Master Stylist, a Color Specialist and competent mentor for the talented stylists who work with him at his DESIRE Salon & Spa Frisco, and franchise locations in Keller and Trophy Club, TX.

His twenty-five years’ experience include impressive associations with some the hottest names in the industry. New York trained at the Continental, he went on to form a professional relationship with Mario Valone, who first served as Gene’s mentor and later as his business partner in a NYC based salon, which they owned and operated for eight years. After Gene’s relocation to the Dallas area in 1993, his talents served both Studio 22 and the Jose Barre Salon in Highland Park.

Throughout his career, he has been a familiar face at international trade and style shows, participating, learning and networking to remain a master of the craft.

Ever the entrepreneur with a dream, Gene again chose independent salon ownership in 1997, where he has successfully built a loyal client base in Trophy Club, TX and surrounding areas.

Recent rebranding to DESIRE Salon and Spa marks the beginning of the next era in Gene’s dream of becoming an icon in the style industry.
